Introduction to vitamins
Vitamins are organic substances that are essential for the body but cannot be produced
in sufficient quantities. They do not provide direct energy, but are critical for the production of
cellular energy. The main groups of vitamins are water-soluble and fat-soluble.
Water-soluble vitamins, such as vitamin C, are particularly important for numerous biochemical processes.
All about vitamin C
Vitamin C, or ascorbic acid, aids in the metabolism of iron and cholesterol, as well as the growth and repair of bone, cartilage, connective, and muscle tissue. It is a powerful
antioxidant that protects cells from oxidative stress.
For smokers it is recommended to increase their daily intake by about 100 mg, in order to compensate for the damage
caused by smoking.
Conclusion
Vitamins are essential for the proper functioning of the body. Expanding your knowledge
about them and taking them correctly can significantly improve your energy, health, and vitality
